We have benchmarked all 15 of Ontario’s Census Metropolitan Areas (CMAs) to better understand each city, its current competitive position and its future prospects. Each CMA has been benchmarked against 10 competitive North American regions of similar size.

The first working paper in this series is titled Ontario Competes and acts as an introduction to the benchmarking process, our aggregate results for Ontario that acts as the foundation for this analysis. It may also be necessary to refer to the Understanding our Terminology section on our website in order to fully understand all of the information presented here.
